“She accomplished a whole lot in the short time that she had here, she was a wonderful person.”

“I know I did the best I could,” she said inside New Hope Baptist Church, where her daughter’s funeral was held. “I don’t blame myself. I know I did the best I could for everything.”

Houston broke down at the end of her daughter’s February funeral, wailing “My baby! My baby!” while walking behind the singer’s silver casket.

“She was very special to me,” Houston explained. “She was my only daughter, and a good one.”

Cissy also has some strong words for the media out there who wrote all types of negative things about her daughter.

“They think they know everything,” she said. “These people don’t know anything about her. The media doesn’t know what they are talking about.”

And she refuted reports that her daughter had died in debt: “Whitney did not die broke. She’s not broke. She’s not anything … None of that crap.”

So there you have it! Rest in Peace Whitney. Cissy’s full interview airs Monday on My9 In New York City.
