CEO/Founder of Cash Money Birdman, aka Baby, was handling business in New York City for his publishing company yesterday, when our good friends at Complex got the chance to chit-chat with him about YMCMB’s growth and Lil Wayne’s rumored “demise.”

DETAILS: SAY WORD! Kanye West & Chief Keef Are Working Together

Birdman spoke about wanting to sign 16-year-old Chicago rapper Chief Keef, who’s currently working with Kanye West on his “I Don’t Like (Remix)” and rumored to be signed to Soulja Boy’s SODMG label.

Birdman also addressed critics who say Lil Wayne’s career is over and gave a little insight about Drake’s forthcoming album.

On signing 16-year-old Chicago rapper Chief Keef:

“I like young boy Chief. I think he’s a great young talent. I sent my hand out to him. We’ll see what happens.”

On people saying Lil Wayne’s career is over, Birdman responds:

“We do music for people who appreciate it. That’s all we can do. Keep working hard, keep grinding. Everybody is entitled to their opinion but we do what we do. We sell millions of records. Ain’t nobody ever put up the numbers we put up. That’s one to a million. That don’t really matter matter.”
