It’s that time of year again, where the industry’s most qualified hip-hop heads debate over the best rapper in the game.
LIST: MTV’s 2011 Hottest MC Nominees List
MTV released their annual “Hottest MC” nominees list, and the court of public opinion says their list is an epic FAIL.
GlobalGrind decided to come up with our own list of nominees who we think killed the game in 2011. From legends like Jay-Z to rap newcomers like A$AP Rocky, GlobalGrind didn’t nominate any rappers because of affliations or payouts, we simply nominated rappers who brought the heat in 2011.

To ensure that rappers weren’t being added to the list to fill voids and spaces, GlobalGrind made their list of nominees a short, yet extensive list of 21 rappers who made their mark in hip-hop last year.
We’re leaving it up to the people, not bias industry insiders, to decide who deserves the sought after title of “Hottest MC Of 2011.”
