Last night Twitter went H.A.M. when a song called “It’s Good” off Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter 4 leaked and dissed Jay-Z. Now, the world is watching the throne to see if Jay-Z responds.

NEW MUSIC: Lil Wayne f. Jadakiss & Drake – It’s Good (Jay-Z Diss)

I for one think Jay-Z must respond or give up his spot on the throne.

Wayne isn’t a no-name rapper looking to get a name off of Jay, like most of the others who’ve thrown disses at Jigga. With someone of Weezy’s caliber, Jay can’t just brush this off with half a bar.

“And all you other cats throwin shots at Jigga You only get half a bar – f*ck y’all n*ggaz” ~ Jay-Z

Now is the time for both Wayne and Jay-Z to stop playing games and make this the Manny Pacquiao/Floyd Mayweather battle of hip-hop.

Last night on Twitter I saw many Jay fans saying he doesn’t need to reply but he has to, for the sake of hip-hop.

If he doesn’t, the legendary blogger John Gotty from Smoking Section is correct when he writes, if Jay-Z doesn’t respond then “all the things people use as slights against Hov – too rich, too out of touch, too old – become more true.”

Hova has been able to coast with dope sublime lines dropped six months to a year after he’s actually been dissed, but not this time. This is his defining moment. His last stand to speak.

He can go out in a blaze of glory by taking down the man who calls himself the best rapper alive.

When Jay-Z asks, “I’m a multi millionaire, so how am I still the hardest nigga here?” Well Wayne also spits hard and it’s time to respond to Weezy by saying his name or relinquish your spot on the throne.

Y’all have been sublime boxing for years and now it’s time for the main event. Hip-hop needs this. Especially since Tha Carter 4 in all likelihood will knock Watch The Throne from the number 1 spot.

How can you let that slide Hova?

Go ahead and put these little boys in their place, or stop saying you’re Mike Tyson and Michael Jordan and start referring to yourself as Lennox Lewis or Yao Ming.
