“Wide Awake” is meant to be the culmination of all of the things that have happened in her career thus far.
There’s a lot of imagery referencing her childhood dreams of being a singer, the obstacles she had to face to get to where she is and her broken relationship with “Prince Charming” (and we all know who that’s referring to.)
