The UK songstress will be releasing a new song in 2012, but rumor has it that Adele’s new song may be the theme song for the new James Bond movie Skyfall.
The 23-year-old singer has been riding high off the sales of her second studio album 21 since its release in January 2011. Adele’s 21 has won three American Music Awards, six Grammys, and has spent 23 non-consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard charts over the past year.
GlobalGrind doesn’t want to get the hopes up of eager Adele fans, because the singer confirmed that her new song won’t be released until the end of the year.

In an interview with a French DJ, Adele revealed:
“If I didn’t write my own songs, I’d be out next week with a new album. Because I write my own songs, I have to take time and live a little bit. There were a good two years between my first and second albums, so it’ll be the same this time.”
Adele fans hold tight, you may have to hold out through the spring and summer months, but Adele has promised she’s coming out with new material soon.
