Summer time is the time to shine and the time to cop good albums.
Everyone loves good summer albums, so GlobalGrind rounded up the top 10 summer albums everyone must have. Although there are plenty of albums dropping before Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Watch The Throne” album, this is probably one album that’s most important to buy this summer.

“Watch The Throne” was originally set to release in March 2011, but creativity takes time. Now, Jay-Z and Kanye have revealed that “Watch The Throne” will drop on our nation’s independence day, July 4th. Fourth of July is usually the peak of the summer for most, so why not cop “Watch The Throne” to add to summer’s delight?
Amazing artists like Bon Iver, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lil Wayne, Big Sean and Beyonce are all releasing hot albums this summer.

Bon Iver‘s self-titled album “Bon Iver” is set to release June 21. The indie rocker recorded again in his home state of Wisconsin and after a whirlwind year working with Kanye West on his masterpiece “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” and guesting on the monster hit “Monster,” Justin Vernon is back doing what he does best: making soulful, sparse and intricately gorgeous indie rock. Although Beyonce’s “4” album leaked earlier this week, you can still buy it on June 28. Girls run the world and Queen Bey will control the summer. With guest spots from Andre 3000 and studio help from Odd Future crooner Frank Ocean, Bey’s album is a culmination of what she does best, effortlessly mixing dance beats and R&B ballads. Arctic Monkey’s album “Suck It And See” dropped on June 7. We love these British bad boys and their raucous, wordy punked out rock ‘n roll. The guys experimented with some elaborate instrumention on their last record, but they’re back and a little more stripped down, all the better to hear their cheeky lyrics and English sneer.

Big Sean‘s debut solo album “Finally Famous” drops June 28. The Detroit-native is sure to put some G.O.O.D. music in our speakers, after all, he went from dropping a freestyle in front of Kanye, to signing to the megastar’s music imprint. With hits like “My Last” and “I Do It” already under his belt and friends like Chris Breezy to sing the hook, we’re excited to see what else this protege has up his sleeve.

Rock legends Red Hot Chili Peppers album “I’m With You” drops August 30. It’s been almost 5 years since we’ve gotten a studio album from these seminal alt-rockers and we can’t wait to hear what they’ve been working on in the meantime. With a new guitarist and a new outlook, the Chili Peppers are still one of the last of the great ’90s rock bands and we hope they never quit.

UK singer Natalia Kills album “The Perfectionist” is set to drop in the U.S. August 16. Touted as the British Lady Gaga, Natalia has a style and sass all her own. The London native was discovered by will.i.am. She’s part pop princess, part dark rocker and a totally accomplished songwriter. She likes to sing about “Wonderland,” zombies and vampires. Check her out her brand of “dark pop” before she blows up big.

Lil Wayne pushed back his album Tha Carter IV but promised his fans it will be released August 29. Weezy’s last album Tha Carter III dominated the summer of 2008, so this next drop is guaranteed to sizzle in the heat. The newly sober Wayne has already dominated the game with “6 Foot 7 Foot” and his new rhymes are clearer, fiercer and more personal. We can’t wait to hear what else Weezy has in store for us.

Eminem and Royce Da 5’9 collaborative album Hell: The Sequel is set to drop June 11. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any hotter, the flame spitters are about to bring the heat. The formerly feuding MCs have buried the hatchet and unearthed some firey rhymes, also tapping hitmaker Bruno Mars for a track guest spot.

Swedish band Little Dragon’s third album Ritual Union is set to hit stores July 12. The band’s frontwoman Yukimi Nagano was born in Sweden to a Japanese father and an American mother. She has an international flair and apparently a nasty temper as evidenced by the band’s name. Check out their psychedelic electro pop and give it a few listens. With the band’s cool factor and their pop sensibility, Little Dragon’s is a sound that sticks.
