Anders Breivik, the 32-year-old Norwegian man responible for the twin attacks in Oslo, Norway, appeared in court today to explain why he carried out his rein of terror on Friday.

Dressed in a red jumper, Anders admitted responsibility for the attacks, but denied that he was guilty of any criminal charges.

Anders claimed he didn’t want to kill as many people, but instead wanted to send out a “sharp signal to the people” and to “stop the takeover of Muslims and Marxists.” 

Breivik also told the court that two other terror cells were poised to carry out similar attacks.

It was also announced that the death toll from Friday’s horrific attacks was lowered by police Monday morning. 

Officials reduced the number of victims fatally shot by Anders from 86 to 68. 

Police, however, raised the death toll from the bomb blast outside the government headquarters in Oslo, from seven to eight. The current death toll is now at 76.
