As the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing heal and the families of those deceased find comfort in their memories, it is being revealed that a man was arrested on a New Jersey Transit train headed to Suffern, New York carrying two explosives just eight days before the Boston tragedy.

According to the Jersey City Police Deputy Chief, Peter Nalbach, Mykyta Panasenko, 27, was arrested at the Hoboken train station and charged with “recklessly creating a widespread risk of injury or damage to a building which normally contains 25 or more persons by constructing the explosive devices.”

It has been reported by the Daily News that the explosives were not bombs, but fireworks.

“There is no indication at this point of the investigation that Panasenko intended to detonate a device in his building or on the transit system,” said a Jersey City officer.

Panasenko was released from custody after investigators searched his home and found no explosives or indications that Panasenko was a threat to society.
