North Carolina A&T University is currently on lockdown after a man was seen carrying a gun on campus.
The school posted the following alert on its website:
*** A black male has been seen carrying a rifle on Campus. The University is on lockdown. Everyone should stay inside, close and lock your doors and windows. ***
The alert stemmed from a report of a man seen carrying a rifle on campus. Guilford County Schools said the Middle College at A&T and The STEM Early College at NC A&T are also on lockdown.
Police have responded and are on the scene.
