A pregnant mom was killed and her 11-year-old daughter was grazed in the face, as gun shots rang out at a Brooklyn, NY public school earlier today.

The chaos began at 2:35 p.m. outside P.S./I.S. 298, in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, according to authorities.

As Reported By The Daily News:

Police are hunting for three men in connection with the shooting. They were last seen running east on Pitkin Ave. Witnesses told cops the shooter was more than a block away from the school.

The 30-year-old dead woman, whose name wasn’t immediately available, fell in front of the Lucky Supermarket at Pitkin Ave. and Watkins St. People who live nearby said the woman was pregnant. She was shot in the head.

Another 30-year-old woman was plugged in the arm and rushed to Brookdale University Hospital. The pre-teen was grazed in the head just after school let out. She was also being treated at Brookdale.

This is the most horrible thing we’ve heard all day. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s families.
