31-year-old homeless man Rudy Eugene’s disturbing tale just shot to the top of our list as one of the sickest and craziest stories of 2012 thus far.

On Saturday, Eugene, while high on LSD, was shot and killed by Miami Police after he was discovered eating the face of another man. Rescue crews rushed the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital with 75 percent of his face missing, including an eye, his ears and lips.

The story has become international news, while Twitter, Facebook and other social media outlets have made it one of the most shared stories in the past 72 hours. Many are calling it the “Walking Dead of Miami.”
Eugene’s story is no doubt insane, but as we come to the half point of the year, where does it rank as the craziest story of 2012 so far?

In April of 2012, an Argentinean mom was in shock after finding her baby alive in a morgue nearly 12 hours after doctors pronounced the girl dead.
Analia Bouter named her newborn Luz Milagros, or “Miracle Light.”
According to Rafael Sabatinelli, the deputy health minister in the northern province of Chaco, five medical professionals involved in the false death were suspended pending an official investigation. Today, the healthy girl is doing fine.

In late April of 2012, police busted a Philadelphia drug dealer after they found 89 bags of dope hanging from his penis. Yes, from his ding-dong.
Ray Woods, 23, was popped after he was pulled over for a broken taillight and possession of marijuana. The arresting officer noticed “a large bulge” down the front of his pants as he loaded him into his cruiser.
While back at the station, police discovered that Woods had tied a large plastic bag, containing a whopping 89 smaller bags of heroin and cocaine, around his penis.
When police attempted to relieve Woods of the drugs, he freaked and started to relieve himself all over the officer’s hands.

This may be the winner of the craziest story of 2012 so far. In early April, a Chinese woman gave birth over a toilet and her baby was accidentally flushed away.
Yes, that happened.
Emergency rescue crews went into frantic mode, ripping out the toilet and crack waste pipes to find the tiny newborn baby.
The woman went into the toilet in Zhaoyang District, Beijing and asked her husband to wait outside. When she gave birth to the baby, hovering over the toilet, the baby dropped into the basin and was accidentally flushed down by waste water.
Apparently the hole in the toilet was big enough to let the newborn slip through and into the waste system.

This kid did the unthinkable to his mother in the spring of 2012.
16-year-old Kit Darrant threw a party at his North Miami Beach home while his mother, whom he had stabbed a few days earlier, was decomposing in the next room.
Darrant told investigators he killed his mother, Renette Emile, 35, because he was angry at her for scolding him about staying out late on a weeknight.
According to a Miami-Dade police arrest affidavit, Darrant cleaned up the blood, sprinkled her body with deodorizers and laundry detergent and wrapped it in bed sheets on March 27 and four days later, he threw a party.
For eight days, police said Darrant took care of his 3-year-old brother at their apartment in the sprawling Jade Winds complex near North Miami as if nothing ever happened.

How this is even possible is still a mystery.
A 10-year-old Colombian girl sparked outrage earlier this year, as she officially became one of the world’s youngest mothers.
The unidentified young mother gave birth to a five pound baby girl as a member of an indigenous tribe called the Wayuu, who are based in the La Guajira Peninsula in the north of the country.
The pre-teen mom was 39 weeks pregnant when she underwent a caesarean section. She reportedly arrived at the hospital bleeding in pain from the contractions.
Doctors decided to carry out the risky operation because of her age and both mother and daughter are said to be ‘doing well.’

This was a double whammy; the story is crazy and so is the person involved.
A mentally unstable Chinese father bit off his 6-year-old’s penis!
The 32-year-old father bit the boy’s penis off and according to media reports, the father was believed to be suffering from a mental disorder.
Doctors were able to restore the boy’s penis, but he is still at risk for a lifetime disability.
The boy is now in safe condition and may need long-term psychological therapy to heal his trauma.
Witnesses say the father was taking the boy and his four-year-old sister for a walk in the street. He then asked the boy to bite his penis and when he refused, he attacked him.
Witnesses rushed to the aid of the young boy who was screaming with blood gushing out of his crotch. They nailed down the father to the ground and picked up the penis that was thrown into the shrubs.
Police detained the father and the boy was rushed to a hospital.

In May of 2012, Mistie Atkinson, a Lake County, California woman, allegedly performed sexual acts with her son, going so far as to create a sex tape.
Mistie was found with her 16-year old son in a motel room. On the boy’s phone authorities found a video of Mistie performing oral sex with her biological son.
Police say the videos were dated on February 3rd and 4th of 2012. Law enforcement also found sexually explicit messages, which were exchanged and the two spoke about running away together.
Mistie was charged on March 2nd with incest, oral copulation of someone under the age of 18, contact with a minor for a sexual offense, and “sending harmful matter” to her biological son.

In late April of 2012, a Chinese woman riding her scooter killed a man by squeezing his testicles after arguing over a parking spot in Haikou City, Hainan Province, China.
The 41-year-old rider rode her scooter to an elementary school to pick up her child and when she wanted to park her scooter in front of a shop, she was rejected by the shop owner, a 42-year-old male.
An argument ensued and the middle-aged woman grabbed the man’s testicles, and squeezed them till he collapsed on the ground.
The man was immediately rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately died despite doctors’ efforts to revive him.

At the beginning of the year, a 13-month-old baby with six teeth chewed the head of a venomous snake off! His mother found him with the reptile and freaked out as little Imad Aleeyan cried when his new, dangerous teething tool was taken away from him.
In a lucky twist, the snake itself was just a baby and therefore not as harmful as it would have been as an adult.

In late January, Wilson was charged with crimes against nature for allegedly having sex with a horse while a student at Oklahoma State University’s veterinary medicine program.
Wilson was busted when veterinarians checked a live video on the horse barn and witnessed Wilson committing the gross act.
When the unidentified veterinarian approached Wilson he claims he said, “I’m glad you caught me. I need help.” You do need help, you Super Freak!
