Russell Simmons took part in the 7th annual BGC Partners Charity Day in New York City today to raise money for selected charities around the world.

BGC is a leading global brokerage company primarily servicing the wholesale financial markets.

The firm was created by Cantor Fitzgerald in the aftermath of the World Trade Center attacks, as his goal was to rebuild the business after losing 658 of its employees.

Celebrity guests conducted real time trades with BGC’s clients over the phone alongside licensed brokers. Last year’s event raised over $10 million in a single day for worthy causes, including Rush Philanthropic.

Take a look at Uncle Rush making trades with Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks, actor/comedian Ben Stiller and a special appearance by former President George W. Bush.
