Welcome to another Thursday!

The weekend is almost here but since we aren’t there just yet, we have come up with a few cool things to help you finish out the work week.

If you are an art buff, you will be particularly happy with this installment of Three Stack Thursdays because we have a couple of galleries open now you are sure to love, especially if you are a fan of pop art or graffiti.

Check it all out in today’s Dollars & Sense!

Visit The Gagosian For The Damien Hirst Exhibit

Damien Hirst’s The Complete Spot Paintings 1986–2011 represents a fully illustrated catalog of all of Hirst’s spot paintings since 1986 with essays by Museum of Modern Art curator Ann Temkin, cultural critic Michael Bracewell, and art historian Robert Pincus-Witten as well as a conversation between Damien Hirst, Ed Ruscha and John Baldessari. The focus on Hirst’s spot paintings include upwards of 300 borrowed pieces from 150 collectors spanning 20 countries.

If you are moved by any of Hirst’s spot paintings, it may set you back around $20,000 and up, but it is Three Stacks Thursday so whether or not you come home with a piece is up to you. Take a look at Damien explaining his now famous spot paintings in the video below.

Futura 2000′s most recent solo exhibit took is now on display at the Galerie Jérôme de Noirmont in Paris.  Those of you familiar with Futura know that he is a well respected name in the graffiti community and that he has been doing this for a long time.

For his “Futura 2012 – Expansions” exhibit, the graffiti pioneer continued his signature abstract approach and his tendency to carefully balance his different aesthetics. The artist worked with some pretty interesting color combinations but it’s more important to note that the vast majority of the artwork was done with spray-paint like a true graffiti artist.

Fiancial Tip Of The Day

Decrease Car Insurance
As the value of your car depreciates, your insured value decreases while you are left paying the same premiums for the original value of the car.
Your insurance company won’t pay you the original value even if you’re paying the original premium rate (but they’ll take your sweet money), the solution is to change the insured value on a regular basis you will save money and still have peace of mind and a financially tight plan of action.
