Aspiring model Lashawna Threatt’s 30th birthday turned tragic when she plunged from the 10th story window of the W Hotel in Atlanta.

Threatt, mom to a 15-year-old girl, was “play fighting” with best friend Ciara Williams at her birthday party when they crashed through a thick window at around 3:15am, police say.

Threatt died after landing on a sunroof top and Williams remains in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Threatt’s funeral is scheduled for Friday at World Changers church at 1 p.m. “Lashawna was the embodiment of love,” said her brother Maurice Threatt.

As for Cierra Williams, a Kentucky native, her family says she’s doing “better than anticipated,” but are puzzled about what led to the fall.

Cierra Williams had been a dancer for Lexington sports teams, said her cousin, LaRhonda Hill, who lives in Lexington. She was also a graduate of Bryan Station High School. Atlanta police have said the incident was an accident, but they were continuing to investigate.
