You may know him as Steve Carell or as Michael Scott on the hit show The Office, but now it’s just Steve Carell. Not so long ago, it was announced that Carell would not be returning to the show for the following season.

Two nights ago, Carell appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman to talk about the new casting, future success of the show, and about him leaving.

While praising the show and his replacement, James Spader, Carell got a little egged down by the audience and Letterman and just blurted out, “Yeah! You know what? Now that you say that, screw that show!”

He continued with, “What did that show ever do for me? I have a movie coming out, what could possibly go wrong?!”

While this is most probably a joke and was just for the laughs, it brings to mind actors who have actually left their shows angrily or just went a little nuts and were taken off the show.

Check out the video of Carell on Letterman and then other actors who jumped the gun.
