We’ve heard Kanye rap, “I don’t see why I need a stylist, when I hop so much I could speak Italian” on the track “Champion” from his album Graduation.

Rick Ross even claimed it would be better to “shoot the fucking stylist/ we gon’ find this shit ourselves” on “Transporter,” but Drake? You need a stylist!

Let me just start off by saying that I really do like Drake. I was a skeptical back when So Far Gone first came out and I didn’t think I could take Wheelchair Jimmy seriously as a rapper.

However, Drake really impressed me, and that’s not easy for most rappers to do. He managed it with one mixtape and a string of consistent features.

Since then, we’ve seen Drake’s style evolve from Comme des Garcon cardigans to cargo pants and Red Wing boots, which was actually fine with me.

Although that was nothing new to some, to others, Red Wings were pioneered by Drake and his OVO crew which includes himself, his friend Niko, Producer 40, and his stylist Oliver.

Drake, what the hell has Oliver been doing recently, letting you do an entire video in a Nike outfit? It wasn’t as cool as you thought it was, Drizzy, and I don’t know who approved that blue silk shirt (that I’m assuming was by Versace) for your birthday party at TAO this year. You are not Biggie OR Puffy and this is not the set of “Hypnotize”!

Drake, it is 2011: people are out here calling you corny! I know you aren’t corny but the decisions that you have been making have been pretty bad.

As a matter of fact, when you get suited up, or when you aren’t doing too much with the colors in the outfit, you actually look pretty fly. Some people are good with bright colors, but Drake, your decisions are too shaky for me to actually believe you have a full time stylist.

I’m a very fashionable person and even I make a few mistakes. But the biggest difference between myself and Drake is that a million people aren’t paying attention to me whenever I step out of my house.

As a famous person, you know how you’re scrutinized and you still choose to do whatever the hell you want.

A part of me actually applauds your nonchalant attitude regarding how you look, but it’s time to pull it together and get as fresh as your lyrics because I love your music, Drake.

But if I’m going to be completely honest, I will probably never look to you for style inspiration.
