Carmen Tisch proved exactly why being drunk in public places should be prohibited!

The 36-year-old Denver woman decided, while under the influence of alcohol, that it would be a bright idea to punch a $30 million painting and rub her buttocks on it.

The Denver Post reported that she also leaned against it and began to urinate on herself.

Lynn Kimbrough, a spokeswoman for Denver’s District Attorney, said “It doesn’t appear she urinated on the painting or that the urine damaged it, so she’s not being charged with that…” But Carmen’s punch did cause $10,000 in damage, so she will be prosecuted.

The 10ft by 13ft painting is located in the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver Colorado. The artwork is from the famed 20th century abstract-expressionist painter Clyfford Still, who died in 1980.

The museum released a statement regarding the incident:

“On December 29, 2011, an incident of criminal mischief took place at the Clyfford Still Museum. The police were summoned and the offender was arrested and is currently in police custody. Museum officials are cooperating with the authorities regarding the situation and are in the process of further assessing the incident.”

Carmen is currently under police custody and is being charged with criminal mischief. Her legal record includes armed robbery last year and drunk driving in 2008.

One thing we want to know: if you’re drunk, why are you taking a random trip to the museum?
