With over 18 years in the restaurant business, Soul City Kitchen, Midtown location, is at the forefront in Southern cuisine. Located on Crescent Avenue in a quaint, remodeled 1920’s bungalow, this restaurant has Souther favorites such as buttermilk fried chicken, fried green tomatoes and she-crab soup. Formerly known as Holy Matrimony Wings & Pizza, Wingzza Truck is Charlotte’s most popular food truck and one of Food Network Magazine’s “50 States and 50 Pizzas” list. Wingzza Truck offers wings in seven different flavors which include Mild, Medium, Hot, Spicy BBQ, Carolina Buffalo, The General, and Mambo. Wingzza Truck is at the top of their game increasing with one of the most popular food service of the 21st century, food trucks.

Washington, D.C: Ben’s Chili Bowl 

Fifty-three years ago, many things in history occured and one of those great things was the creation of Ben’s Chilli Bowl in Washington D.C. Through all the accolades and historic happenings surrounding the restaurant, Ben’s has always been famous for their chili and crazy hours. With different locations and a Presidential visit, Ben’s Chili Bowl is a definite foodie lover’s heaven.

Dish of the day! : Fried Catfish

Ingredients: 
1 pound of fillet catfish 
1 cup of corn meal 
1 cup of flour 
1 teaspoon of Lawry’s® Seasoned Salt 
1 teaspoon of Pepper 
Instructions: 
Mix flour, seasoned salt, and corn meal and cover both sides of catfish strips with the dry mixture. 
Then fry in about a teaspoon of oil in a pan, until both sides are golden brown and the fish is crispy.
