Modeling may seem glamorous and fun, but there is a lot of work and grind that goes into landing runway shows and taking perfectly posed photographs.

Annelise From CW’s “Remodeled”: There’ll Be “Someone Who Notices You”

We got the chance to catch up with Meghan Wiggins, a star in CW’s new series Remodeled, which follows the renowned model agent Paul Fisher on his quest to make sure agents in small towns no longer get screwed, and to empower models to take control of their own careers.

Meghan waved bye to her senior year of high school to say a big hello to the Big Apple, New York Fashion Week, and chaotic casting calls.

After being scouted in her hometown by Mr. Fisher, the young model quickly quit her gig and school for a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Meghan gives us all the deets on living her life on TV, New York Fashion Week and we also get the scoop on the adorable chemistry she has with her over the top gorgeous castmate Bobby Rake. Find out if the two have taken their flirtation further and more below!

GlobalGrind: How did you get involved with the show?

Meghan: I had an audition through my mother agency here in Albuquerque and they were scouting for young girls in young agencies and that’s how I met Paul Fisher.

When you were scouted for Remodeled you were working at a juice bar… you’re not working there anymore right?

Before I met Paul I was working at a local juice bar and ever since then, I haven’t worked there.

Paul Fisher is known for his brutal honesty, was that hard for you to deal with?

I like honesty a lot and I’m so glad he was really honest. It was a little intimidating at first but he’s really genuine – minus all the F-bombs and his loud personality.

In a couple of episodes there is this ongoing chemistry between you and Bobby. Did that evolve into anything serious?

Yeah kind of … you have to stay tuned. Behind the scenes I spent two weeks with Bobby, Marianna and Annelise and we just had a good connection because we are both young and were the only ones still in high school. We hung out all the time and he’s a great, cute kid.

How did the show and modeling work with your school schedule?

When I was in New York for Fashion Week I missed two weeks of school and my teachers weren’t supportive of it. So I had to look for an alternative for school.

Are you doing home schooling?

I don’t know if I’m allowed to say, because it’s all in the fourth episode.

Fashion Week is a big deal, was that nerve-wracking for you?

Going on the castings were very chaotic, you’re rushing back and forth and booking a job … I was one of the last ones to book something, so it was very stressful.

What would you say was the most challenging part of it?

I think because you’re one out of a million. There are other girls there and I didn’t have a lot of experience in Fashion Week, so it was very hard for me to go up against all the professionals.

Do you think you have overcome that now?

I think so a little bit. I’ve learned a lot from a lot of castings, seeing all the diversity in a lot of models and all the different walks and everything.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully walking down a Victoria’s Secret runway. Looking back now I never thought any of this would ever happen my senior year, so I don’t know what the future holds.

You didn’t get to go to prom?

Nope, I didn’t get to prom, no football games or homecomings. I missed out on a lot of school stuff for a one-time experience.

You would say it was definitely worth it for you?

Yeah, who else gets the opportunity to be on TV and meet the biggest casting director.

What advice would you give to other young girls who want to get into this industry?

Definitely follow your dreams and don’t take anything personal, going into castings. You walk into a casting and if you’re not what they’re looking for… they could be looking for a blonde haired/blue eyed girl and you could be brunette and tan. So you just have to be very humble and confident, even when meeting someone, and have a lot of personality and just be yourself. I think that that’s what helps the director.

Do strangers notice you now that you’re on TV?

Yes actually, I went to one of my friend’s basketball games and there were a few people who were just like ‘Oh you’re Meghan Wiggins!’ It was definitely surreal and weird. I didn’t think anything that big would happen, but I definitely get recognized a lot more now.
