Alicia Keys is a Girl On Fire!
But this is no Hunger Game – it’s the official title of her fifth studio album.
Ms. Keys has been faithfully keeping her fans updated – via Twitter, Instagram and her personal website – on the progress and inspiration behind her upcoming release.
However, it wasn’t until yesterday that the R&B siren officially let the cat out the bag and announced her album title.
In an open letter to her fans, the singer wrote:
“‘Girl on Fire’ is about new beginnings, new perspectives and fresh starts. Stripping away all the bad energy in your life and taking full control of the reigns and how you want to live. There is something really empowering about finding yourself and your own inner strength. On one song, one of the lines I wrote says, ‘I’ll never be perfect, but at least now I’m brave!’”

According to MTV, Alicia plans to perform new music from Girl On Fire at the MTV VMA Awards, September 6.
We can’t wait to hear what she’s been cooking up in the studio.
