It’s been talked about in various interviews by Big Sean and now it’s finally here. They highly anticipated single “Guap” produced by the homie Young Chop. Big Sean’s resume of hits is stacking up thicker than the ladies from ATL’s club Onyx. “Guap” should add another bullet point to Sean’s so far successful career. Big Sean’s second album Hall of Fame: Memoirs of a Detroit Player should be rather interesting, to say the least. Will there be a sophomore slump from G.O.O.D. Music’s freshest man since Yeezy himself? Stay tuned…

For years I’ve been an ardent supporter of Bay Area hip-hop. E-40, The Team, Keek, Mistah FAB, Big Von…the list is endless of dope talent. But the new school MCs from Yay like IAMSU are that fresh new sh*t that has the Bay still going dumb. Peep this new joint of his “Mobbin.” It’s that typical slap music that should hit from Vallejo through East Oakland all the way to Monterray. His new mixtape $usy 6 $peed should be loaded with Mobb music as Su gets ready for his new album.

New Orleans is another bastion of hip-hop. You don’t need me to mention the obvious heavyweights from the Nola. Its MCs like Dee-1, Curren$y and Kid Kid carry the torch for the next generation of Crescent City superstars. Pay attention to this new Kid Kid track feat Juvenile called “New Warleans.” It’s Kid’s version of the goings going on in the N.O. We almost forgot Kid Kid was down with G-Unit and he’s been down for a minute. But it looks like finally with the revamped G-Unit 2.0, Kid Kid will be apart of the new blueprint.

Really feeling this new Chrisette Michele song featuring 2 Chainz, “Charades,” except for Chainz’s singing at the beginning. It’s all good though. After Chainz’s hard grind nonstop to the top two year run, chart topping singles and G.O.O.D. co-sign, this guy on your song means a hit. Obviously Chrisette is on to that and after her semi hiatus from music she’s back. Her new album Better is in the works for early next year. Meanwhile she’s preparing for a new mixtape and a slew of shows coming to a city near you.

AraabMUZIK is a musical prodigy from another planet. He is the hip-hop version of Daft Punk live with no costumes. Aarab is the modern day Armand Van Helden when it comes to toxic club beats. There are no lyrics to this hot new song After Hours. All you need is a club, maybe a stadium, plenty of woman and flashing lights. Just like the song namesake, “After Hours,” this is that late night two in the morning Gothic club music. Songs like this come on when the room is spinning while your sitting next to a woman whose name you just forgot like five seconds ago. Must hear music indeed.

Until we read again…
