Unfortunately, there won’t be a happy ending for Los Angeles teenager Jake Davidson and Kate Upton.
It turns out that Kate, who was asked to prom by Jake via YouTube, won’t be able to make the May 23rd, 2013 event due to scheduling issues.

Originally when Kate called into the Today Show, while Jake was on via video chat, she said that she would love to go if her schedule permitted it. Later, in an interview with People, the Sports Illustrated model confirmed that she actually would not be able to go to prom with Jake, but said:
“I really appreciate being asked, it made me feel really great.”

Well how do you think Jake feels, Kate? Probably terrible, and we know that he doesn’t have a girlfriend, so what will he do now?!
Kate has lost a bunch of cool points with nerds everywhere for this one, but we’re sure she’s not worried. Who knows, maybe she might just show up and surprise Jake.
