On Wednesday, the Miami heat trounced the Chicago Bulls 115-78, tying up their Eastern Conference semifinal series 1-1.

Yeah, no one cared about that.

What people cared about, moments after the game was finished, was the image above, of an angry Miami Heat fan sticking a middle finger at Bulls player Joakim Noah, who had just been ejected from the game after arguing with a ref.

After that photo was passed around Twitter, the question became who is that woman?

Oh, she’s somebody.

Her name is Filomena (or maybe Phyllis; we dunno.) Tobias and she has a shaaady past, to say the least.

The Sun Sentinel tracked down Filomena’s daughter Victoria Racanati and confirmed that her mother is the widow of hedge-funder Seth Tobias, who was found dead in a pool back in 2007:

“Yes, it’s my mom. She’s embarrassed, but she is being a good sport. She was having fun just like any other fan. All she has to say is that people need to get a life.”

Here’s where it gets real strange.

When you Google Filomena Tobias’ name, one of the first things that pops up is this incredible NYMagazine article about the whole saga. Apparently, many think Filomena killed her husband, including Seth’s brothers and an Internet psychic (huh.)

From NYTimes:

“[Tobias’] brothers, Samuel, Spence, Scott and Joshua, claim that Filomena Tobias drugged her husband and lured him into the pool, where he drowned. A former assistant to Seth Tobias has told the police that Filomena Tobias confessed to him that she had cajoled her husband, who was on a cocaine binge, into the water, promising him sex with a male go-go dancer know as “Tiger.” A lawyer for Filomena Tobias has called the claims outrageous.”

Filomena never faced any charges, but still the case is shady.

And, again, read the NYMagazine article. It’s gold, man. The story includes a character who’s a gay stripper named Tiger. (Not to be mistaken with the Young Money rapper, of course.)
