Time and time again we’ve seen celebrities trying to “bring sexy back,” in the form of the worst trends of all time.
But Ariana Grande, who burst onto the scene with her hit song “The Way,” is rocking her Audrey Hepburn–inspired looks in the classiest and cutest way possible.
And with all the fashion icons to choose from, 19-year-old Ariana wisely opted to select the classic style of Miss Hepburn herself.
Staying low on the fashion radar and blending in was not an option for Ariana; you’ll always catch her in something sweet, vintage, and probably pink.
By the same token, Audrey Hepburn’s style was always simple yet sophisticated. Whether her hair was pulled back in an updo, or in a pixie haircut to reveal her beautiful face, it always worked. Much of Audrey’s clothing consisted of floral prints and two-piece body suits, and everything she wore was elegant and the epitome of “lady-like.” Her signature style in the ’60s was set off by thick brows, long lashes, and a pale or faint lip color, and she loved gowns that flared and little black dresses that squeezed her small frame.
Although Audrey’s outfit choices were never bold or striking to the eye, she always let her personality shine through. Wearing a signature white shirt with a skirt or printed shorts was “her” thing, and she did it well, pairing a simple outfit with a statement necklace or black shades.
