LifeStyleHer wants to talk about Pharrell Williams all week long! His fashion, his state of mind and his artistic values. We fell in love with his new single “Get Lucky” over the weekend and it made us reflect on his growth over the past two decades.

How can he be so many things all in one incredible package? Let’s call him a modern day reniassance man. Music, fashion and art are just a few of the categories that he’s excelled in, but let’s dive into how he carries himself, and his relationship beliefs. There’s always been a sexy mystique about the gracefully aged 40-year-old entertainer. But now that he is a very proud daddy and in a steady relationship, he seems more focused than ever before.

This is what Pharrell had to say about sex and relationships.

On temptation:

“I’m a good man. I’m a good boy, you know.” He adds that he can look, but “I just don’t touch.”

On losing his virginity:

“I didn’t lose it. I gave it away. I know exactly where it is…I used to look at my teachers. There were several high school teachers I wanted to have my way with. I had fun with those really good cougars, dude. They had that quiet purr that you just feel.”

How to make a woman fall in love:

“If you kiss her mind, her body will follow. I made so many mistakes. I messed things up so badly, just by being young and growing up so fast. I’ve since learned a lot about pacing, not just with women, but also in life in general.”

How he feels about abstinence:

“I applaud those who have the willpower to do it. But I’m a different kind of kid.” [Instead of seeing sex as sacred, perhaps we should hold] time as the ultimate sacred thing.”

On how much he changed over the years:

“I’m a different guy in the sense that I’m not touching no other woman besides my girl. I love my family and I’m super happy.”

On how easy it is for him to be in a committed relationship:

“It was so easy, because see here’s the thing, I’m not no relationship expert, but I just recommend that you get with your bestie. Because y’all agree on everything. This is the person that when the other girls were tripping you could call her and be like ‘She saying…’, and she could talk to you about whatever. So you guys started with a very honest and open rapport. You never had to hide anything. And you know, at a certain point in my business, I don’t know why anyone lies. You’re making money, you’re doing it, she don’t like it, ‘You don’t like it? Beat it.’ But, I’m going to be honest with you. Women are so attracted to honesty, it’s funny. Even when it hurts. They love that. Women taught me that.”

On whether he is ready to walk down the aisle:

“Yes, of course.”

Pharrell is the youngest looking 40-year-old man any of us has ever seen. How is he doing this and what is it that he is using?

This is what he told Hot 97 during a recent radio interview:

“I’m [washing my face]. Like little small stuff. Naomi Campbell taught me a couple of tricks back in the day, like washing your face with cold water, keeping your pores closed. People say my parents look pretty young too. For me, you just have to wash your face. I use Cetaphil.”
