Happy weekend everybody! We at Global Grind have a treat for you. There are tons of things to do on the weekend. But, if you’re the type that likes good programming, or a good movie, we have just the thing.

Friday night is ‘movie night’: New movies come out every friday (and sometimes Wednesday). If you have plans on checking out a new flick this weekend, you might want to check these movies out.

Couples Retreat is a movie starring Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Faizon Love, Kristen Davis, Kristen Bell and Malin Ackerman. Its about four couples that head out to a tropical island resort. One couple is there to work on their marriage and the other three are there to have fun. Soon after, the couples therapy becomes a requirement and things go haywire. Good Hair is a documentary produced by and starring Chris Rock. The documentary records his travels as he goes on a journey to find out the meaning of ‘good hair’. Chris was inspired to film the movie after his daughter said to him, ‘daddy, how come I dont have good hair?’ The film features appearances by Nia Long, Rev. Al Sharpton, Melyssa Ford, Raven-Symone and Ice-T. To find out more about the movie, click here.

Saturday night is ‘Diddy night’: For those of us who are following Diddy’s ‘Making The Band’ series, we all know Diddy has a new show out called ‘Making His Band’. After the show premiered, a couple episodes aired on Mondays @ 10pm on MTV, but, Diddy the Bossman has switched the airing to Saturdays @ 9pm. If you’ve been living under a rock and have no idea what the show is about, let me hel you. Diddy has made band for a couple of years now, but now that he is apart of the new group Dirty Money, he wants to release an album and go on tour. The thing is, he needs to find a band that can execute the futuristic sound he has put together. He’s looking for keyboard players, drummers, background singers and more. To catch an episode, tune into MTV on Saturdays at 9pm. If you need to catch up on missed episodes, click here.

Sunday is ‘Football Sunday’: In my opinion, its the best day of the week (in the television programming sense). From about 1 pm to 11pm, you can find a football game on the ‘boob box’ and spend your sunday snacking and rooting for your favorite teams.

If you don’t know what teams play this sunday, check out the schedule for NFL football:

Sidenote: College football comes on Saturdays and just in case you dont know that schedule, either, click here. (Screenshots and Schedule, courtesy of Espn.com)

Thats all I have for you this weekend, but make sure you come check me out next friday for another edition of ‘Weekend Watch’.
