Lil Wayne has managed to avoid jail time yet again, making it a three time streak. Weezy is facing a one year jail sentence for a 2007 gun charge. His initial sentencing was set on February 9th but was pushed back to March 2nd due to dental work that the rapper had to under go before heading to the slammer.
With live ustream videos, farewell parties and hundreds of fan prayers, many anticipated Weezy’s year long vacation. But as we prepared ourselves with ‘FREE WEEZY’ t-shirts, Wayne made it known he wasn’t quite ready to throw in the towel. Unexpectedly his March 2nd court date got held up yet again due to a courtroom fire (they don’t call him fire man for nothing), the courthouse has since been closed with a newly scheduled court date of March 8th allowing the rapper to avoid jail yet again.
Three times a charm but I’m not so sure thats the case in this situation. Remember Weezy, you can’t finish the bid unless you start it. One things for sure and that is he has managed to keep fans and many of those in the rap world watching his next move. During his court date dodging Wayne has managed to release his very own young money video, join twitter, throw yet another farewell party, and surprise a packed audience at Madison Square Garden during a BP3 concert.
