A rescue diver searching the sunken South Korea ferry died on Tuesday, according to South Korea’s Government Rescue Headquarters. The diver, identified only as Lee, was flown by a helicopter to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. A spokesman for the Rescue Headquarters said Lee lost the communication line at 25 meters under the sea five minutes into his first dive. Read about it here…[CNN]

So this happened. Aside from not vaccinating their children, Californians are now forcing their students to answer a ridiculous question — was the Holocaust even real? The assignment, given to eight-graders in the San Bernardino County district, was to do research and write an essay explaining why the attempted genocide was a political scheme or a historical event. Not surprisingly, that question angered a lot of sane people, causing the district to deem the assignment “an error.” Oh? Read about it here…[AP]

A soon-to-be mother is in jail on a $1 million bail after allegedly stabbing and killing her boyfriend because he didn’t buy her a present. Miata Phelan, 24, got into the altercation with Larry Martin, 28, after he purchased gifts for his 8-year-old son and 25-year-old cousin at a shopping mall. He did not, however, purchase a gift for 7-month pregnant Phelan, whose birthday was the following day. The two argued in the car and upon arriving at the house, Phelen stabbed him in the side with a knife. Asst. State’s Attorney Glen Runk said the suspect told the victim, “This is what you get for messing with me. I hope you die, motherfucker.” Read about it here…[HuffPost]
