Duck Dynasty‘s Phil Robertson shared some of his thoughts on the militant group ISIS and what he believes will be the best answer to their recent rash of savage beheadings — apparently more war and of course, some religion.

In an interview with FOX’s Sean Hannity, the reality star was conveniently invited on to talk about his new book, unPHILtered: The Way I See It and to drop a little knowledge on how America should handle ISIS and their extremism.

After citing a few Bible verses, Robertson claims the remaining option is to convert ISIS members to Christianity or go to war with them — which is what we’re trying to avoid.

Hannity, who invited Robertson on his show to weigh in on “the rise of radical Islam” and to plug his new book “unPHILtered: The Way I See It,” went on to say that he doesn’t think Robertson is controversial at all, adding, “I kinda see you as a minister.” Some of Hannity’s fellow media members seem to disagree.

Then, Robertson arrived at the most controversial part of the interview, saying of the Islamic State: “You either have to convert them, which I think will be next to impossible. I’m not giving up on them but I’m just saying, either convert them or kill them.”

The reality star added that he’d “much rather have a Bible study with all of them” but was also prepared for a “gun fight alone,” if that is how the Islamic State would prefer to fight Phil Robertson.

Robertson is known for speaking his mind. Hence his past anti-gay statements and his current book release (which is already a best seller). He also went on to compare the terror group to American “gangs and thugs on steroids.”

“We’re going to have to deal with this group way more harshly than we have up to this point,” he said.
