Police in Atlanta have identified the man who robbed and shot a woman he met on a dating site.

Officials are on the lookout for 22-year-old Dontarius Turner for aggravated assault, armed robbery, and weapons charges against a 34-year-old woman he arranged a date with on Christmas Eve.

College Park Police Sgt. Jeff Hightower told reporters the incident happened after the two met up at a local Days Inn. They met on the online dating site badoo.com, with Turner using the name “King Luciano.” After spending some time in a local Waffle House where he refused to pay for the $20 meal, Turner and the victim left and headed back to the hotel.

While en route, Turner pulled out a gun and robbed the woman of her belongings. He then pulled off in her Jeep Cherokee after shooting her in the face.

The 34-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, was robbed and shot about 12:45 a.m. Dec. 24 near the intersection of Sullivan Road and Edison Drive, Hightower said. The suspect attempted to shoot the woman again as she fled on foot, then he drove off in the woman’s 1999 Jeep Cherokee.

The bullet grazed the woman’s jaw, leaving minimal damage. She was free to leave the hospital the same day.

Police are asking anyone with information on Turner to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477 or College Park police at 404-761-3131.
