<p>Shaunie O’Neal spoke with Honey Magazine about her new television show “Basketball Wives” and new man. Her new dude is definitely a set up from Shaq. Rumor has it that, Shaq has been sending this new dude death threats…Shaq sit your old a$$ down!</p><p>Honey Magazine: What are the top three lessons you learned as a basketball wife? Shaunie O’Neal: Looking back I would say to always keep your dreams and goals that you want to accomplish in sight, never lose those. Although they may change as you get older, if you want to do something, keep them close. Keep your family close and tight. Always follow your gut feeling as far as what you feel is right and wrong.</p><p>What was your motivation for creating Basketball Wives? It came from the questions that I always got being in NBA organizations from the new set of wives who would ask things like: “What am I supposed to do?” The veteran wives would always have suggestions and tell them to come to certain meetings. Also it came from questions from the public: “What do guys do everyday?”, “Do you have five hundred nannies?”. It came from those things I experienced. I just thought it would be a good idea.</p><p>Did you pitch it to VH1 or did they approach you about it? We pitched it to a bunch of different networks. We loved that Vh1 was interested and so we went with them.</p><p> </p>
