It’s been a hell of a week in the political arena and it was dominated by Republican opposition. From President Barack Obama cutting deals on the back of out of work Americans, to Sarah Palin busting her gun and killing a Caribou. There were so many FAILS to go around so we had to cut it down to the best FAILS of the week.
We riding with President Obama, but in the last couple days it seems that no matter how much he wants to get things done, he just can’t. George W. Bush had bad ideas, but he got them done. Obama can’t see the urgency in situations and that’s why he cut a tax deal with Republicans to extend the Bush tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans in exchange for extending unemployment benefits for Americans out of work. Obama, you get a FAIL for this one. It doesn’t seem right to continue a tax cut program for the wealthiest Americans and at the same time throw a bone to out of work Americans. Why is that fair? It doesn’t seem right. This recent tax deal is the definition of the “rich gets richer, while the poor get poorer”.

At this point, Sarah Palin can’t surprise us with anything she does. We knew she was destined for a promising career as soon as she came on the scene. A full career rife with reality shows, books, and stints on Fox News. So when a clip of the former governor of Alaska appeared on the internet pulling out her rifle and setting her cross-hairs on Caribou, we weren’t surprised at all. That’s Sarah Palin. She really blew its brains out. Not only was it hard to look at, but she celebrated it. FAIL.
Acclaimed writer and producer Aaron Sorkin had an interesting take that we could agree with, in a HuffPost article Sorkin stated:
You enjoy killing animals. I can make the distinction between the two of us but I’ve tried and tried and for the life of me, I can’t make a distinction between what you get paid to do and what Michael Vick went to prison for doing.
Sorkin is on point with this one, should we send Palin up the river for her latest bloody mess?
