With the help of GPS, notepads, 150 fans, flashlights and a megaphone, the band, Ok Go spelled out their name over an eight-mile stretch of Los Angeles. Their route was tracked by GPS and when looked at from above, read OK GO in red writing that looked like it came off of an Etchasketch.

“The idea is … we are going to make one giant painting, essentially, with Los Angeles,” said OK Go frontman Damian Kulash to a Gibson spokesperson. “We are marching a loop that spells out ‘OK Go’ through Los Angeles. We’re hoping when people see this, they’ll think, ‘That’s a great idea. I’m going to get into my car and drive all over Southeast Asia and make the Mona Lisa!’”

The band is asking for fans to submit their own journeys, which will eventually be edited and become a collaborative music video.

Check out the bands performance through the streets of L.A. and you can see the GPS tracking light sketch at the end of the video. View it Below!
