Do you think hip-hop, mixed with a little electro, splashed with hints of pop seems a little corny? Well, think again.
GlobalGrind came across this rapper Josh Smith and thought he was dope. His song “Music Sounds Better” is a mash-up between simple beats from a beat machine, 808s, a few synthesizers and a great nostalgic hook.
Hailing from the great state of Michigan, this new school rapper definitely has a different sound. His new mixtape “Champagne & Sweatpants,” marks the new wave of great upcoming artists.
Josh comes through on the track rapping, “She said the music sound better with me/ She swear that it ain’t from the ecstacy/ stares all I got, girl, I just cant speak/And she scared she’s about to be my ex-to-be.”
Josh is definitely pushing a new sound that’s been lacking in the music game for awhile.
