Surrounded by old school b-boys, hip-hop legends and photographers, DJ Cassidy looked fly in his bright yellow suit and matching bow tie as he celebrated his 30th birthday celebration at the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum in New York City last night (July 6). It was a dual celebration for Hennessy Black’s one year anniversary and all the stars came out to play.
DJ SNS, Samantha Ronson and Q-Tip were all spinning while Carmelo Anthony, Kirstie Alley, Doug E. Fresh, Grandmaster Flash, Russell Simmons and New Edition, to name a few, enjoyed drinks, snowcones and shots from Hennessy Black. The cake was just as big as the event as the birthday boy took a bite out of his 5-foot model of a Hennessy bottle birthday cake.
I think we might crown DJ Cassidy the new Diddy of the party scene! He had all of the old school legends in the building and they all showered him with love! When he saw Grandmaster Flash, he bowed down to him, which of course got a lot of respect from the crowd.
