Let’s be 100 percent honest, old people are … awesome!

Old people say what they want, do what they want and have no real problem cursing you out at the drop of a dime. They’d probably throw down in a fight if it weren’t for their fragile bones.

Lady Gaga’s costume designer Nicola Formichetti doesn’t seem to really see things our way, though.

In an interview for British Elle’s “Collections” edition, Nicola stated, “I think old people should just be old and go away.”

Pretty harsh, no?

“It’s not about being in the industry for ten years anymore: it’s about good ideas,” he added.

Although Nicola was probably only referring to people in the fashion industry, we hope he knows that regardless of the field, old people are still capable of new ideas.

Formichetti went on to say that “[Fashion] still has this elitist feeling — it’s really scary … Me and Gaga, our motto is ‘fuck fashion’ because we love it so much we want to destroy it and start again and keep it fresh.”

We think that this just means that his clothing is so left field that it doesn’t get the appreciation that he wants. So much so, that he’s bashing the elderly.

After the break, check out some awesome old folks who, we think, can run Formichetti out of town!
