Welcome back to the work week, it’s Monday yet again and hopefully you enjoyed your weekend. We’re not sure how you would spend your long weekend, but if we could pick anywhere to enjoy an extra day off to just rock out, it would be Las Vegas. So hopefully if that is actually what you did, there is still some money left over from your excursion.

However if there isn’t, have no fear, we have got a couple of things for you to do that are pretty cool and completely free to do in Vegas. Check it out below in today’s Dollars & Sense!

Visit The Aquarium at the Silverton Hotel:

Located within the Silverton Hotel, a saltwater aquarium provides entertainment on a scale one can enjoy only in Las Vegas. Throughout the afternoon and evenings, women dressed as mermaids join the 4,000 tropical fish, including three species of stingrays and three species of sharks, in the 117,000-gallon, curved acrylic tank, for a 15 minute show that you won’t soon forget. It’s completely free and open to the public, even if you aren’t staying at the hotel.

Address:

3333 Blue Diamond Rd.

Las Vegas, NV 89139

Visit M&M’s World:
For the chocolate lover in you, M&M World is a four-level chocolate-lover’s paradise. Check out M&M Academy, an interactive entertainment attraction showing visitors how these chocolate candies earn their trademark. The attraction includes a 3-D movie, a replica of the M&M’s race car that is driven in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series and “graduates” of the M&M Academy get a diploma. It’s fun for the entire family but the best part is that it’s all free.

Showcase Mall

between E Tropicana & E Harmon Avenues

Financial Tip Of The Day:
Get A Better Cell Phone Plan

If you’ve had the same cell phone plan for a couple of years, chances are there’s something better and less expensive out there. Look around or call your current provider and ask for a better deal.
