Lil Wayne and Birdman headed down to their hometown of New Orleans to make a little difference in hundreds of people’s lives. Now that the holidays are approaching us quickly, Lil Wayne and YMCMB made the community a happier place as they volunteered for Thanksgiving initiatives.

In an interview with MTV, Lil Wayne admitted that it had been a while since he handed out turkey in New Orleans.
“It’s actually been my first time back here in like 8 or 9 years, and they’ve been doing this for 15 years. I’ve always been busy on tour or something like that. This is amazing, especially experiencing it from this point of view. A 29-year-old with everything, not everything, but all the things I need in place. I’m able to give…I can actually say ‘happy thanksgiving.”
