Mayor Bloomberg has invited Lady Gaga as his special guest for the biggest party in the world, the annual Times Square New Year’s Eve gathering. Not only is she invited, but Gaga, who is originally from New York, will push the button that will drop the ball and officially ring us all into the new year.

Every year Mayor Bloomberg invites a special guest to come and push the button. In the past there have been A-listers like Bill and Hilary Clinton, Muhammad Ali and Rudy Giuliani.
We definitely have to say that Gaga is the most eccentric and probably coolest guest the Mayor has had yet (even though Muhammad Ali is pretty damn cool.)
Lady Gaga was so pumped about the news that she decided to go to Twitter and let her fans know.
Before Gaga meets up with Bloomberg, however, she has a date with another man. The pop star is going to be performing on the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012 special before she drops the ball.
