Considered one of the worst floods in the history of Thailand, the deluge of water has reportedly killed up to 790 people.

According to the Jakarto Post, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department has reported that 790 deaths have been confirmed and three people have been reported missing since the floods began in July 2011. 

Thailand’s Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra promised that by the end of the year, all remaining flood areas will be dry.

According to the World Bank, the floods have caused about $21.3 billion dollars in damage.
