Tons of Hollywood’s biggest and brightest celebrities stepped out yesterday for the 5th Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon in Beverly Hills!

Among these women were the talented actresses Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Emma Stone, Kerry Washington, Paula Patton and numerous others.

Some of the highlights from the luncheon include a beautiful tribute performance to the late Whitney Houston by Jordin Sparks, who sang “Look Into Your Heart” from the Sparkle soundtrack. Kerry Washington, Paula Patton, Octavia Spencer, Pam Grier and executive producer/screenwriter Shonda Rhimes were selected aw this year’s honorees.

Constance White, the editor in chief of Essence Mag, said this about the honorees and luncheon:

“The luncheon exists to provide a fitting tribute to the brilliant talent and accomplishments of African-American trailblazers like Kerry, Pam, Paula, Octavia, and Shonda, and celebrate their collective work as an inspiration for generations to come.”
