First Adele and now John Mayer.

The soulful singer and womanizer has announced that he has to cancel all of his Spring 2012 tour dates as he has to stop singing indefinitely following the return of a throat condition that was previously operated on.

The 34-year-old singer announced the news via his website saying that he has learned a granuloma on his vocal chords has grown back.

STORY: John Mayer Undergoes Throat Surgery

John, who is reported to share the same throat doctor as UK songstress Adele, said he was “pretty emotionally burnt out at the moment.”

“During rehearsal on Tuesday, it came to mind that I should see my throat doctor because something didn’t feel/sound right,” he wrote on his site. “I went in for a visit on Wednesday and a scope of my vocal cords revealed that the granuloma has grown back where it had mostly healed. This is bad news.

“Because of this, I have no choice but to take an indefinite break from live performing. Though there will be a day when all of this will be behind me, it will sideline me for a longer period of time than I care to have you count down.”

He underwent surgery in October of last year to remove a granuloma from his vocal cord, which is a small area of inflammation due to tissue injury.

We are wishing John a speedy recovery so he can get back to doing what he loves.
