Last fall, Nicki Minaj scored the most coveted seat in the house next to Anna Wintour, wore a multicolored multi-DIY-technique dress while sitting in that front row seat, and still didn’t think the event accurately captured her attention. Now, she’s rapping about it.

The front row seat wasn’t just any seat; it was the seat that stirred up talks of Nicki Minaj getting a Vogue cover.

STORY: Anna Wintour & Nicki Minaj’s WTF Moment At NY FASHION WEEK

The seasons came and went, and Nicki never got her Vogue cover, but she did get the cover of New York Magazine ‘s Spring Fashion edition, an opportunity that she ironically used to talk about how Fashion Week isn’t exactly her cup-o-joe.

On sitting next to Anna Wintour last fashion week:

“The biggest surprise to me was that after I went to some shows with Anna Wintour, I got an autographed photo from her the next day that said, “We match!” I had on these, like, weird balls and craziness, and she had on this really sophisticated dress, but they both were orange. I was like, “Oh my God, I’m getting this framed!” I’m going to get a bigger version and put it in my gym, because that’s some fly motivation.”

On returning to fashion week again:

“I’m not impressed to be in that world. I’m in my own world. I think sometimes the fashion world isn’t even about clothes anymore; it’s about this “in” crowd, and I’m not into that.

Now, almost a year after warming seats with fashion buddy Anna Wintour, Nicki is name dropping the fashion editor on her latest album “Roman Reloaded.”

In the song titled “Come on a Cone,” the Technicolor femcee drops a few lines about her experience with Wintour.

“When I’m sitting with Anna, I’m really sitting with Anna / Ain’t a metaphor punch line, I’m really sitting with Anna / Front row at Oscar de la Renta, posture / Ain’t a bitch that could do it, not even my imposter.”

Well, what should we gather from this? Primarily that while Nicki loved rubbing elbows with Vogue’s EIC, she thinks Fashion Week’s fashion is weak.
