George Zimmerman’s new attorney, Hal Ulrig, went on the defensive last night as he spoke with CNN’s Pierce Morgan. Ulrig claimed that Trayvon Martin was responsible for his own death and his client had every right to defend himself.

Yes, he actually said that.

Ulrig is a well-known Orlando-area criminal defense attorney who joined Zimmerman’s defense team with Craig Sonner earlier this week.

Ulrig called Trayvon’s death a tragedy, but said his parents’ grief is not helped by people traveling to Sanford for “little rallies and irresponsible speeches” that only raise racial strife.

Race had nothing to do with what happened, Ulrig said and accused Trayvon of making a “terrible decision” and that he had “bad judgment” to smack and attack Zimmerman.

Ulrig told Morgan that Zimmerman had every right to defend himself saying:

“He was absolutely entitled to defend himself and that’s why Trayvon Martin is dead—not because of racial profiling.”

Sonner accused the media of destroying his client before all the facts are publicized saying, “It’s been open season on destroying this man’s credibility.”

Zimmerman’s team has a bulldog in their camp that isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind. But the fact remains; Trayvon Martin was killed for looking suspicious.

On February 26th, 17-year-old Trayvon was shot and killed by neighborhood watchman, 28-year-old George Zimmerman. Trayvon was returning from a local 7-Eleven after buying a bag of Skittles and iced tea.

He was then spotted by Zimmerman while returning to his father’s girlfriend’s home inside their gated community. Zimmerman called 911, explaining that Trayvon, who was wearing a hoodie at the time, a pair of blue jeans, and red/white sneakers, looked suspicious.

Zimmerman pursued Trayvon even after he was told not to by the 911 dispatcher.

When Zimmerman approached Trayvon, the two got into a scuffle, resulting in Trayvon taking a bullet to the chest at point blank range.

Zimmerman claimed that he shot Trayvon on grounds of self-defense, although Trayvon was unarmed.

Since the murder of Trayvon, the entire nation has expressed outrage.

George Zimmerman has not been arrested yet as more evidence comes forward proving that his claims of self-defense were false.
