And what better way is there to commemorate only the second Diamond Jubilee ever in English history than to put on a massive show featuring (mostly) U.K. musicians?

A flotilla of 1,000 ships on the Thames River in London and parties that spanned the city just weren’t enough to show the Queen how much she truly means to her people.
The country and commonwealth (Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc.) went all out for the aging monarch right in front of her home, Buckingham Palace.
The royal family and 10,000 lucky ticket-holders got to see some of the biggest names in pop.

Australian pop goddess Kylie Minogue, who is celebrating her own jubilee this year after dominating the U.K. charts at number one for over 25 years, flashed the audience some serious leg action.
She put a few of her contemporary artists to shame by putting on an amazing show sans lip-syncing.

He only recently became a household name in the U.K., yet Will.i.am has solidified himself as a major presence, enough to be invited to perform for the Queen.
