This weekend Machine Gun Kelly was banned from his own show at Highline Ballroom following the reports of a lawsuit with a bouncer he injured in Florida.

Yelawolf “Happy Father’s Day” (NEW MUSIC)

Instead of throwing around his normal hothead temper though, the rapper took the high road and was more concerned about his fans than his reputation.

He said of the incident:

“The normal MGK reaction that everyone expects is for me to be angry and go off, because my history shows that’s the type of attitude I’m bringing to the table. But I think that after this being the second time on tour that this has happened, I’m more just bummed for the fans. I don’t care about [me]. My fans are kids that don’t have [much].”

The Ohio native obviously has a sweet side that many people tend to ignore.

People only focus on the wildness of his shows rather than the rhymes he drops or the true technique he’s developed.

There’s more to him than just antics he says:

“I’m a huge lyricist, but I think people pay attention to me cutting myself on stage, or getting in fights, or climbing up on a balcony and hanging upside down and shit like that, instead of focusing on me standing on top of people rapping every single word perfectly, [rapidly], and clearly.

We certainly hope that MGK can keep it together for the rest of his fans and shows.
