The Associated Press is reporting more details about the ferry crash this morning that injured 50 people in New York City.
Some patients were carried out strapped to flat-board stretchers, their heads and necks immobilized. About a dozen passengers on stretchers were spread out on the dock, surrounded by emergency workers.
A corner of the ferry is ripped open like a tin can.
A passenger, Ellen Foran of Neptune City, N.J., said people tumbled on top of one another, hysterical and crying.

The New York Fire Department is reporting that 30-50 people were injured when a ferry struck a dock during rush hour in Lower Manhattan.
The Seastruck Ferry from Atlantic Highlands, N.J. crashed into the mooring as it arrived in Manhattan around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
At least one person has a critical head injury.
