On Sunday, a barge carrying 80,000 gallons of oil went tumbling over after crashing into a railroad bridge in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Polluting the Mississippi River, the oil spill has caused an 8-mile waterway closing.

The barges are owned by Third Coast Towing LLC and was pushed by the Nature’s Way Endeavor tugboat.
Environmental Services, a response-and-remediation company, is working on cleaning up the 80,000-gallon spill. The railroads have resumed as scheduled.
It’s pretty sad that our water and natural resources have been compromised in such a way; we pray that cleanup is swift and effective.
