Have you ever tried to tell your friend their significant other ain’t shit? How’d that go for you?
Rihanna is the girl you’ve been friends with who refuses to leave that jerk of a boyfriend no matter what pictures you show them or how many restraining orders she had to place on him. She’s not letting go. So we should get over it!
Those of you on Twitter and Facebook and perhaps even commenting on this blog are throwing shots while living in a glass house. Rihanna and Chris Brown are inseparable and you should accept that. Take the L.
Rihanna showed the world that by Chris Brown’s side is where she will remain when she snuggled up next to him at the Grammys and accompanied the “Look At Me Now” singer to his court hearing this past week.
Yes! Rihanna went to support Chris Brown at his court hearing about possibly fabricating community service hours assigned to him for assaulting her. Yeah! She did that!
And when she did, that was the nail in the coffin. That was your cue to shut up, fall back, and take several seats. That was the biggest middle finger to all of those who have a habit of valuing the lifestyle of an artist more than their talents. The reason why Rihanna and Chris Brown are even a topic up for discussion is because of their talent. Have we forgotten that?
We’ve all been in a situation where we try to get the bad apple off the tree but the apple won’t budge. It was the late great Whitney Houston’s perogative to love a man the world hated and now it’s Rihanna’s.
You cannot go to war for a woman who has already chosen a side. Stand down!
Chris Brown said it best when he said “…it could get ugly before it gets beautiful” in his smash hit “Don’t Judge Me.” Fortunately for him, Rihanna honors the message within his lyrics, and you should too. Chris Brown is human and the love you see in Rihanna’s eyes when she looks at him is real.
Here we have two consenting adults with a lot to lose, sacrificing everything – endorsements, money and fans, just in the name of love. Call me a twisted romantic but that’s what Valentine’s Day cards are made out of.
Chris Brown is a man trying to right his wrongs but keeps meeting a dead end. Who was once an expressive active tweeter and Instagram favorite is now a man forced to silence himself.
In her recent sit down with Rolling Stone Magazine, Rihanna says:
“When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world. You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about shit. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”
And for those of you who feels her return to Brown is a sign of weakness, Rihanna says:
“I could never identify with that word, ‘weak.’ I couldn’t have come out of this if I was weak. No way.”
Rihanna is one bad ass chick who doesn’t care for anyone’s opinion. Rihanna has made it clear where she stands and where her heart lies and that’s with the talented, mighty dapper Chris Brown.
Whether you agree with her decision or vow to never buy a Chris Brown album think about this: What’s love without tragedy?
